Download eight different Bulletin or Social Media sample posts that will help create attention to your PRAY WITH US campaign.
Councils will invite members of their parish communities to PRAY WITH US.
State will submit article content to the Hawaii Catholic Herald announcing the 2025 campaign involving over 20 councils across the State, to include parishes on O'ahu, Maui and the Big Island.
Social media campaigns to include parish, council and State accounts will re-emphasize this special effort to invite all in our Catholic community to pray with us.
Supported by Council's FIA programs that provide more opportunities to pray, the Knights will continue to build on their presence in our communities as a positive promoter and protector of the Domestic Church.
An Invitation to Pray FAQ
Question 1: Who can we invite?
Everyone! Regardless of age, gender, member, non-member, etc.
Question 2: How are we extending the invite?
There is no greater, more impactful gesture than a personal invite. To aid our members in this effort, each participating council will receive 250-500 postcards with a link and QR code to the CIS Prayer Time digital booklet in both English and Spanish.
Question 3: What happens when we run out of postcard invites?
Councils may inquire with the State for additional postcards, however they are also encouraged to find creative ways that will extend the invitation to prayer beyond the postcard handout. IE: Councils may invite individuals and/or groups (ministries) to participate with the council FIA programs.
Question 4: As Catholics, don't we pray enough? Why the constant invitation to pray?
Can we really ever pray enough? Prayer provides an opportunity for the Knights to expose and educate members in our community about who we are - today. The legacy impression of the Knights of Columbus is very different then the order that is alive and active today.
Question 5: Should our council use these postcards to recruit members?
An Invitation to Pray with Us, was not intended to be a membership recruitment effort. It was part of the Four Touch marketing strategy. However, as council leaders and members, you know what works for your community. Regardless of whether this campaign was intended to be a recruitment effort, if you feel it might work for you/your council, you have full discretion to use these postcards as a recruitment tool.

Members can choose between being a Council member or an e-Member, sometimes referred to as Online Members.

We know the Holy Spirit will guide each of us in service to our Savior. Therefore there is only one obligation we ask of new members, to Pray with Us and to Pray more!
